The Thunder Showcase is a one-of-a-kind marching festival hosted by Lake Region High School in the heart of Central Florida. Unlike similar festivals, the Thunder Showcase aims to provide your band with an opportunity to perform and receive feedback based on the criteria used by the Florida Bandmasters Association. Our esteemed and experienced panel of adjudicators will be able to provide you and your band with the feedback needed to be successful at Marching Music Performance Assessment. All bands in the state of Florida are welcome to attend, but the number of spots is limited! The date for the 2017 Thunder Showcase is October 14.
For more detailed event information, please refer to last year’s directors packet.
An awards ceremony will be held following the last band’s performance. All participating bands will receive a trophy on which applicable captions for overall superior, superior music, superior general effect, superior marching and maneuvering, superior percussion, and superior color guard will be etched. While the awards ceremony is underway, directors and staff will retreat to participate in a critique session with immediate feedback from each judge in regard to your band’s field show. Directors will also receive adjudication voice recordings and a video recording of their band’s performance.
